but apparently you want to keep it.
My client called me Friday morning and I spent a good bit of the afternoon trying to find someone who was willing to help. I looked up the tax assessors records and yes... this previous country wide loan was indeed foreclosed on last September by BAC Home Loans Servicing.
It's not easy to find a phone number, but I did it. And if you find the phone number DO NOT choose one of the options... that gets you no where fast. The first person I got told me that had been transferred to Fannie Mae, so I called my Fannie Mae contact. Ummm, no go not in their system. So back to being on hold for BofA. Oh, it must have been switched in the past hour because now it's been switched to FHA.
Oh you guessed it, it's not in their system either. Of course I've called the local agent who gets BofA REOs and she knows nothing of this address. So I call BofA again. This time the story was they were waiting on "title" issues. So I looked up the deed under power and I'm not making this up.... it says State of Texas Country of Tarrant. So maybe that is where all BofA REOs are done..., no this one was was Simi Valley (thanks Elizabeth) wearing my readers now, CA.
I'm thinking a road trip may be in order to get to sell this house. My buyer really wants this house.
