I hate stronly dislike being at work early and I don't usually schedule early appointments, but today I really had NO CHOICE because I had so much to fit into one day. I started with typing a new offer for a buyer. He made an offer last week and was going to accept the counter from the bank, but went ahead and had his inspection done and found some pretty major issues. So we started with a new offer taking these issues into consideration on the price.
Next I had a closing. And when the agent working with the buyers let me know that they had gone over to buy furniture and moved in. WHAT? My sellers met them about buying some furniture and let them move in without calling me? Thankfully it was a cash closing and went off without a hitch this morning and all is well that ends well, but good grief. Who would think you'd have to have the "don't let them move in" conversation with sellers.
And then there was the inappropriate, for lack of a better word, photo shopped face on a photo in my home inspection. Now I'm very protective of my clients. I not only look out for their interests ahead of my own, but I'm even super protective of their emotional state while selling. My call to the buyer's agent went unanswered and the phone number on the home inspection for his phone number was out of service. Yup, he's on the "not going to recommend" list for sure.
And then there was the countless number of emails and phone calls between out of state buyers who are supposed to close later in the week and the out of state lender and the local attorney. Have you ever wanted to reach through the phone and just pull information out of the lender? I did today. I'm not sure how they can still be asking for anything after 6 weeks. Five minutes ago I re-forwarded them an email with the latest information from my attorney.
