Oops, the lines were not well placed

Today I had accompanied one of my agents to a listing to offer advice to the sellers about what to do to make the property more likely to sell.  And as happens from time to time I step out of my office and something happens and I need to be here/there.

Today it was a FedEx truck (a semi) making a delivery on the street beside my office.  It's a small residential area that has some spot zoning for a business. Apparently when my new phone/cable and Internet lines were installed they were not hung high enough and today they were pulled down.

It actually tore soffit off the end of my building that still has to be repaired as well.  But Charter was really great at getting out here and getting things accomplished in a timely manner. Within 4 hours all was fixed and I had services again.  No... "we'll have that repaired by 8 p.m. this time next week" like I used to get from my old phone company that shall remain un-named.

Now a storm is about to blow in and I am supposed to be going to a ball game. Hmmm. I'll let you know how that turns out.

There was a period of time today between when our services going out and me getting tech support to forward the number to our cell.  So if we missed a call from you today during that time then we apologize. Please give us a call back and we'll be happy to help you.

Hi Tammy Lankford, Your experience reminds me of an old song by the Shirelles, that was popular.  "Mama Said" , "There'll be days like this, there'll be days ike this, mama said".

Good morning Tammy. When this stuff happens it can create all kinds of issues for us in the mortgage business, but somehow like yourself we get past the issues.

Tammy, Great customer service. Sometimes it is a blessing to have crappy customer service because it forces us to find better.  And you did.  I wonder if Fed Ex had to pay for the repairs.

Kathleen Daniels actually it was lines not being hung to code height that was the issue and perhaps they had been stretched by an ice storm last winter which is what caused the issue, but no harm, no foul everything is repaired. Thankfully a walker stopped the truck before the damage was too bad.  And thankfully a bucket truck came along to unhook the lines and not cut them to remove the truck.

Liz and Bill Spear I was really impressed.  I am not sure their response time is as good with a residential client, but they do seem to be treating my business very well.

Thom Abbott yup and hopefully we didn't miss any calls

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert was rained out.  Rescheduled for Monday

Noah Seidenberg no squeaking required thankfully.

Larry Johnston could have been so much worse

Patricia Kennedy we just had rain and a bit of thunder.  But we really don't need any more rain right now.

We become so dependent on our connectivity.  We lost our Comcast last week for about 3 hours and I just didn't know what to do with myself, so I plopped on the couch and watched Lifetime.
