Early voting begins Monday in Georgia- preview your ballot

I hope you vote.  I would never presume to tell any other individual how to vote although if asked my opinion of candidates I will certainly share. It's pretty tough to make an informed decision on a local level in some county you have lived in for weeks or months.

There are 4 state constitution potential amendments on our ballot and if you live in Putnam County there is one local county wide tax exemption issue up for vote.

In the entire state you should be able to identify your district and see your sample ballot on your my voter page

In Putnam County the sample ballots for each each district is located on the registrar's website on the Putnam County Sample Ballot page

The sample ballots are also in the local newspaper, but one must have great eyes and possibly a magnifying glass to read them.  I wanted to be able to read the amendments and make my decision prior to going to vote. I am always dumbfounded when I see people at the polls trying to read the amendments to make a decision while they wait in line to vote.

Early voting begins at the court house and runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday- Friday at the court house from October 17, until November 4, 2016.  The Putnam Board of Elections and Registration office will also be open from voting 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday October 29, 2016.  Also a satellite early voting location will be at the Putnam County Board meeting room the last week October 31, to November 4, 2016 at 117 Putnam Drive, Eatonton, GA

The satellite location has easier access for people with disabilities, you can park closer to the building and it's all on one level.

Excellent post Tammy. People need to vote and if you don't, you cannot complain about how our country is run

Tammy, voting is a privilege and our duty, none of us have any excuse not to vote.

It seems like these elections get crazier and crazier, not sure where this country is headed for, but it seems a bit scary.

Someone told me they were not going to vote because they didn't like either Presidential candidate.  My response was OK don't vote for either but there are some important issues and local candidates that you should investigate and vote.  By the way I have never not voted.

Sharon Lee not sure if "interesting" is the word I would use, but I try not to swear on line.

Noah Seidenberg or your state, or county or city... even if the presidential election doesn't go the way someone wants some local elections can come down to a few votes.

Beth Atalay won't get an arguement out of me on that

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington sometimes it takes a lot of research because of language of the amendments.

Brian England I believe voters have a choice of future direction

Liz Wallace me too on never NOT voting.  I think that would be criminal.
